Integrated into the digital health and wellness ecosystem, Health Zone-E is a digital platform designed for personal trainers and gyms, created to support workout management, client monitoring, and the delivery of fitness services.

ALFASOFT was initially brought in to stabilize and technically evolve the platform. This work included reviewing the existing architecture, correcting functional inconsistencies, and implementing performance optimizations, helping consolidate the platform’s technological foundation and establish the conditions for its long-term evolution.

At a later stage, within the scope of a project funded by the PRR (Recovery and Resilience Plan), ALFASOFT took responsibility for the platform’s functional evolution. New features and continuous improvements were developed, ensuring alignment with the project’s objectives, compliance with delivery timelines, and the achievement of measurable results within the context of a PRR-funded initiative.

Today, ALFASOFT continues to provide technical support, evolutionary maintenance, and ongoing development for Health Zone-E, ensuring the platform’s stability, security, and adaptation to the evolving demands of the digital fitness market.

The platform is built on an architecture composed of an API and backoffice developed in PHP using CodeIgniter, together with a hybrid mobile application built with Ionic and Capacitor. This approach enables centralized development and deployment to both Android and iOS from a single codebase, ensuring a balance between development speed, performance, and scalability.

This project highlights ALFASOFT’s experience in custom software development, including web applications and hybrid mobile applications, as well as the technical implementation of projects funded through PRR and Portugal 2030 initiatives. The company works both on the development of new platforms from the ground up and on the evolution of existing solutions, ensuring operational continuity, alignment with business objectives, and the efficient execution of complex technology projects.
